![]() I use IM to select images for processing based on Rating, and drag those selections onto a IM Favorite I've created for DxO. (DxO recognizes the Ratings I've assigned in IM.) I add metadata in IM, including Ratings, location data including coordinates where appropriate, keywords, etc. I ingest images (mostly Nikon RAW NEF files, but also scanned images) into date-based folders (e.g., yyyy_mmdd). I'm a long-time user of both IM and DxO (I'm not a professional). Also, I'm not a pro, just an enthusiast like the OP. One final side note, for brand new images I use FastRawViewer to do my initial culling before sending the keepers to IMatch. Normally reducing the ClearView setting solves that.Īll in all I'm glad I made the switch and upgrade prices are reasonable. If I have the ClearView adjustment set too high the skin can appear blotchy. I just select the images I want to send to PhotoLab and press the "Send to PhotoLab" favorite button.Īs far as my PhotoLab workflow goes the only problem I've occasionally had is when processing skin tones. I send my raw images to PhotoLab using an IMatch favorite and it works great. Unless of course I actually want to view the raw in IMatch which I occasionally do. So my final optimized JPG image is the image I see when I look at one of my raw files with IMatch. In IMatch I use versions, buddy files for the PhotoLab. I export my raws (CR2 and DNG) from PhotoLab as 16 bit TIFFs which I open and optimize in Affinity Photo before doing a final export back to IMatch in a high quality JPG format. IMatch takes care of all of my DAM needs so the only thing I use PhotoLab for is raw processing. Plus the ViewPoint plug-in which I regard as essential. I will also add this bug fix on the Affinity forums as well just incase it actually is somethign on their end but why did it work for a while and then stop.About a year ago I left Lightroom 6.14 and PhotoShop CS6 and purchased DxO PhotoLab 2 (have since upgraded to version 3). exe again to make sure there wasn't something with the file path that might have changed with the OS update but like I said, it worked fine after the OS update for the months prior to the FastRaw update. I also went back into the External Editors tab and reselected my Affinity Photo. I cheked the "Single file key works for multiple files too" setting and it was selected. ![]() ![]() (I don't like to overload the editor with too many loaded files at a time so I try to limit to between 5-10 photos in a batch) But if I am selecting 40-50 images for post processing, it adds up. evertime I have to close my editor and reopen with the next batch of images to edit. Putting it into perspective, it might only take an extra 5-10 sec. Now, I just have to adjust my workflow and that just take longer. I agree, these functions just worked and I loved it. I absolutely love FasrRawViewer and it is an integral process in my photography/editing workflow. Please tell me this was not an intended chage in the processes and will be addressed in future bug fixes. ![]() Again a workflow time bandit to have to select each file individually to rate the image. Now it will only add the raiting to the last image selected. Very incovenitent and adds time to the workfrow when processing multiple images.Ģ) When reviewing the photos in my culling process, I used to be able to select several images and when adding Star Ratings and/or Flags Colors, it would automatically add those ratings to all the selected images. Now, once you select the files you want edited and download those files to your editing program, you must close the editing program before you can select any more files in FastRawViewer to download back into the editing program. In the past, you did not need to close the editing program when selecting additional files to be edited, you merely went back into FastRawViewer and selected the additional images and when you clicked on the "Run Program" button, it woul load just like before. After recently updating FastDrawViewer, a couple of the actions/ features stopped working.ġ) If selecting images to edit, once you click the "Run Program" button, it would open my photo editor program, in my case Affinity Photo, and it will download the selected image(s) so you can begin editing.
